Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice No Spoilers Review

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a solid continuation of the story that Man of Steel started for the DC Extended Universe. It is a film first & a comic book movie second. It will be hard to explain with out spoiling it so I will put more into the explanation when I write my spoiler review here is quick word now. it is an action, suspense, thriller, and drama with a super human & suspension of disbelief science. The dialogue is one of the best parts of the film, Chris Terrio really did a masterful job, Lex is his crowning achievement.

Henry Cavill brought a Superman to the screen who has not been seen before because he has not dealt with this kind of world before, he does a fascinating job.  He has a sense of morality brought over from his earth family, there is a very touching scene with Martha Kent played by Diane Lane.  Ben brought in nuances for Bruce not seen in the older films. The best qualities of Ben’s Bruce is that he is a detective, I finally got my detective mode Batman live action.  He can move and fight better then any Batman previously and when we see him in the mech suit he it not cumbersome. Gal’s Diana Prince scenes are awesome and Wonder Woman is strong and ready to fight. Some of her dialogue hints at her solo film and I’m so ready to see more of her on the big screen! Jesse Eisenburg is so amazing as Lex, I felt like I was watching the same type of groundbreaking performance I was seeing in Heath in the Dark Knight. The cameos of the other heroes were amazing. Lois the unsung hero of Superman was a strong woman with values & her reporter skills were used well. She is the anchor like Martha Kent to help Superman see everything he does in perspective.

The trinity scene is awesome you haven’t seen any of the 3rd act in the trailers. All those tv spots that were slightly expanded didn’t even scratch the surface of the film. I’m looking forward to Justice League & Wonder Woman films even more now! It is a good 8.5 out of 10 for me. I will go deeper into why in the spoiler filled review because I have to go into specifics of scenes and details. I will say I might change my rating after a second viewing and I am hoping some of my issues with the film will be resolved with the director’s cut. Overall a great film. Do not bring children under 6 to see it, it is PG-13 for a reason. You can take bathroom breaks at the first Daily Planet scene or 2nd one.

Thank you for reading my review, I hope you enjoy the film when you see it. Tell me what you think in the comments or on social media.  I promised spoiler free so see it & I will have a spoiler filled review next week.
